inthe.bar is a free social drink tracker operated from Australia. By using it, you agree to these terms.

Using inthe.bar

You must be 18 or older and allowed to drink alcohol where you live. Keep your account secure; you're responsible for what happens on it.

inthe.bar only records what people enter. It doesn't measure intoxication or give health advice, so don't use it to decide whether to drive or keep drinking. In an emergency, call 000 in Australia or your local emergency number.

Any alcohol estimate inthe.bar shows, such as an estimated blood alcohol level, is for entertainment only. It's a rough guess from what's logged, not a measurement, and must not be relied on to decide whether you can drive, work, operate machinery or keep drinking.

Your content and other people

You own what you post. You let us store, process and show it as needed to run, secure and moderate the service. Only add people, guests or photos of others with their permission.

Don't harass or impersonate anyone, post unlawful content, misuse the service or try to get around its privacy and security controls. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms or put people at risk.

If you see illegal or offensive content, or think someone under 18 is using inthe.bar, tell us at support@inthe.bar.

Other services

You can sign in with GitHub, Google, Facebook or Strava, and choose to share sessions to Strava. Their own terms apply when you use them, and we aren't responsible for them.

The service

inthe.bar is provided as is. We may change, pause or stop any part of it, and it may sometimes be unavailable or have errors. You can stop using it and delete your account in Settings at any time.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that can't lawfully be excluded.

Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from how you or others use the service. Where our liability can be limited, it's limited to supplying the service again.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. When we make a significant change, we'll update the date above and let you know in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using inthe.bar after that, the new terms apply. If you don't agree with them, you can stop using it and delete your account.
